EIWG

Environmental Infrastructure Working Group

The Environmental Infrastructure Working Group (EIWG) is comprised of representatives from various state and federal government agencies and other organizations that meet with communities to discuss funding options for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The group has also reviewed storm water and economic development project funding options.

The EIWG Process

Communities request a meeting with EIWG by submitting a two-page EIWG In-Take Document to the Indiana Rural Wastewater Task Force. A meeting will then be scheduled between EIWG and the community. Project meetings allow communities to collectively meet with agency representatives to evaluate the community’s situation and to identify funding and technical assistance options. The project meeting and in-take document process allow communities the opportunity to explore all assistance options at one meeting. It also provides for early coordination of multiple funding sources.

EIWG meetings are usually scheduled for the second Thursday of each month. The following dates are tentative! You will be notified of the date and time prior to your meeting with EIWG. Please call the Indiana Rural Wastewater Task Force office at 317/261-3046 for meeting confirmation and directions to the meeting facility.
